Megan Moore grew up in Huntsville, AL. She studied Illustration at the Savannah College of Art and Design. She moved to Minneapolis in 2002, to be with the man she is now married to, and began showing her art locally. She is a member of Studiopolis, a nine-artist studio in the Northrup King Building. She continues to show her work in local galleries and shops and at many art fairs. She does freelance illustration work in addition to personal and commissioned paintings, and works part-time for Minnesota Public Radio doing graphic production work in the marketing department.
My work is a representation of my personal experience of the beauty in the world around me. I paint with acrylics and oils. My paintings have a graphic quality and rich use of color. I am inspired by nature and travel, and seek to evoke a sense of balance and calm in my paintings. My background in illustration manifests in many of my works, lending a narrative nature to the compositions.
